Aileen Tan, Group Chief HR Officer, is responsible for Singtel Group’s human resources development and leads its corporate sustainability function.

Aileen joined Singtel in June 2008 as Group Director, HR. Prior to that, she was Group General Manager, HR at WBL Corporation Limited and VP, Centres of Excellence with Abacus International Pte Ltd.

She co-chairs the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) HR Industry Transformation Advisory Panel and is a member of Ministry of Education’s Institute for Adult Learning Council, Ministry of Finance’s VITAL’s Advisory Panel and MOM’s Workplace Safety & Health Council. She is also a member of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) Board, Singapore University of Social Sciences Board of Trustees, Home Nursing Foundation Board and Health Science Authority Board.

Aileen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore. She holds a Master of Science in Organisational Behaviour from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University, US. She is a pioneer IHRP Master Professional, conferred by the IHRP in recognition of her being a role model for the HR profession. She received the Public Service Medal in 2018 for significant contributions to Singapore’s human resources sectors.

Angeline is currently the Head of Group Human Resources in CapitaLand Investment Ltd (CLI), where she leads the full suite of HR functions to drive business and talent strategies for the organisation. A keen strategic partner to business leaders, Angeline plays an integral role in the organisation’s transformation – leading global HR teams through mergers and acquisitions, restructures and organisational excellence, cultural and digitisation projects. Beyond CLI, Angeline has held HR leadership and specialist roles in IBM and Singtel, with scopes spanning ASEAN, China, India and Australia.

Angeline is proud to be a HR Professional and is passionate about building people. She is a member of the IHRP Professional Practices Committee and volunteers as a Mentor in the NCSS Sector Transformation Mentorship Programme. Angeline graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Arina Koh is Director, Human Resource Department of the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore. Arina is responsible for providing professional and operational leadership in the full spectrum of Human Resources, including overseeing Organisational Development & Excellence in the Ministry.

Prior to assuming the Human Resources portfolio, she was with the former National Human Capital Office of the Ministry where she led a team of officers to oversee the Ministry’s initiatives at the national level in building human capital and leadership capabilities for Singapore. She also contributed as a team lead in engaging renowned thought leaders such as Professor Dave Ulrich and Professor Robert Sutton in conducting a CEO roundtable that led to the publication of ‘Asian Leadership : What Works’ as part of the Ministry’s efforts in positioning Singapore as a Global Hub for Human Capital Management and Leadership Development, in Asia, for Asia.

Arina graduated from the University of Leicester (UK) with BA (Hons) Economics and a Master of Business Administration. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, specifically in Banking, Training and Development, Workforce Development as well as in the Human Resources. Arina is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), UK and a Senior Assessor of the Institute of HR Professional (IHRP). She has also attained CIPD level 7 (postgraduate) Advanced Award (Merits) in Organisation Development & Design with the CIPD.

Cara Ang is currently the Group Chief Human Resources Officer at AIA Group Limited and is responsible for the development of overall human capital strategies and their implementation across the Group.

Prior to joining AIA, Cara was MD and Head of Human Resources of Standard Chartered Bank where she spent more than 10 years and has held a variety of senior regional and global leadership roles based in Singapore and Thailand. Prior to her stint in Standard Chartered Bank, she was the Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources Asia for Marsh Asia where she played a key role in shaping and driving the people agenda for the business in Asia.

Cara is a seasoned human resources practitioner with a record of success in leading teams to establish and deliver HR interventions that build business performance. A passionate people developer, she enjoys coaching others and is also known as a change champion who will initiate change at the individual and institutional levels.

With over 29 years of regional and international experience gained through the diversity of roles positions she has held, Cara has acquired a diverse background that includes startup, mergers and acquisitions, business integration, and change management experience.

She has worked across multiple HR disciplines across a spectrum of industries. During her time in Standard Chartered Bank, Marsh Asia, and Intel Asia she had a track record that included a broad coverage in areas of compensation and benefits, recruitment, talent and performance management, learning and development, employee relations, organisation design and generalist functions supporting multiple lines of businesses.

Cara is a Singaporean and is married with a son and two daughters. She enjoys reading, music and cooking.

Chan Yit Foon is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Marina Bay Sands. Yit Foon plays a vital role in developing programmes for talent management, rewards and benefits, leadership training, staff development and team engagement as well as initiatives for the welfare of over 11,500 team members at Marina Bay Sands.?

?Prior to joining Marina Bay Sands in 2011, Yit Foon was the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Mediacorp Pte Ltd. She was responsible for delivering a spectrum of human resources services such as staff development and career progression plans, talent and retention programs and overseas expansion recruitment needs.??

?Yit Foon began her career in IBM Singapore Pte Ltd. During her 24 years with the technology company, she held various roles in different functions, working her way up to Head of Human Resources. As the Director of Human Resources at IBM Asia Pacific, she had supported business divisions across five regions, namely Japan, Australia/ New Zealand, Korea, Greater China and ASEAN/ South Asia.

Charlton joined Singtel in 2012 and led the HR function to support Group Enterprise, including Singtel Enterprise Business, NCS, Optus Enterprise, Trustwave and Singtel Global Offices.

With the establishment of the OpCo – Singtel Singapore – on 1 June 2023 that integrated the units of Consumer, Enterprise, Networks, IT and corporate functions, Charlton was appointed the People & Culture leader.

Over 30 years, Charlton served as the APAC HR leader for MNCs like HP Enterprise, British Telecom and Honeywell, where he was based in Shanghai.

He is an advocate for strong LMR and engages the union proactively and consultatively, while keeping his opinions open to improve employee wellbeing. He was conferred a May Day Award in 2017 for his contributions to the labour movement.

In 2021, Charlton was IHRP-MP certified. He contributed to national initiatives, like the IMDA-led TeSA, Mental Wellbeing at Workplaces by IHRP-MOM-WSHC and IHRP’s Body of Competencies refresh. He is an ex-member of IHRP’s Engagement & Outreach committee and is now in Assessment & Insights. He also serves SPD in their HR & Remuneration board committee.

Charlton holds a Bachelor’s in business administration from the University of San Francisco and MBA from the University of Queensland.

Puay Kheng is the Corporate Development Director of the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and oversees both Workplace Development and Human Resource.

After graduating from NUS with a Engineering Degree, she started her career in Texas Instruments Singapore (TI) as a Product Engineer, before taking on the role of Engineering Section Manager. Puay Kheng then took up the role of Compensation & Benefits Manager, where she oversaw the transition of employees from TI to Micron Semiconductor Asia (MSA). In 2007, Puay Kheng joined the IMFlash Singapore as its HR director. As a new start-up and a member of the site leadership team, she led the development of the HR policies, framework and processes for IMFlash Singapore.

Puay Kheng has more than 25 years of HR experience in the private sector. Over this period, she has led the implementation of global HRIS using SAP and People-soft. She is an IHRP-MP and currently serves on the IHRP Assessment & Insights Committee.

Daisy Chan is a seasoned Management Consultant, Executive Coach and Mentor with more than 30 years of corporate management experience in both public and private sectors.

With a background in psychology, law and certification as a Human Resource-Master Professional (IHRP-MP), Daisy specialises in Organizational Development, Talent and Leadership Development, People Risks, Corporate Governance and Policy Development. Her extensive international career spans multiple regions including Europe, Asia Pacific, North Asia and ASEAN.

Daisy has partnered global business leaders across a diverse array of industries, including public policy and education sectors, corrective services, psychological assessment & support services, public and private transportation industry, vehicle leasing and chartering services, non-emergency medical transportation, automotive engineering, outdoor advertising, vocational training, and insurance brokering.

In addition to Datuk Nora Manaf’s role as the Group Chief Human Capital Officer and member of the Group EXCO of Maybank, Datuk Nora chairs several national-level committees and holds several Board memberships. Datuk Nora’s Board memberships include the Board of Etiqa General Insurance Berhad and MBB Labs Private Limited, Bangalore.

Datuk Nora is actively engaged in the country’s Financial Institutions, Employers’ and Education circles via the leadership roles she holds. In 2018, Datuk Nora was appointed to the Malaysian Human Resource Minister’s Advisory Group. She is also President of the Malayan Commercial Banks’ Association (MCBA), Chairman of the Banking Sector HR Networking Group (HRNG), Council Member of Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), a member of the National Labour Advisory Committee (NLAC), a council member of Industry Advisory Council (IAC) of Department of Polytechnic & Community College Education (DPCCE), and an Advisory Council Member of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera as well as for the University-Industry Advisory Council Universiti Utara Malaysia. Datuk Nora was recognised as a Global Top 50 Human Resource Professional and was appointed into Talent Compact 4.0, an Industry Talent Advisory Panel of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad. In 2022, Datuk Nora was appointed into the Board of Trustees, Khazanah Foundation.

Datuk Nora is also a Member of the Board of Examiners for the Asia Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), Member of the Asia Pacific Industry Advisory Panel for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Qualified Person for Training (QPRT) for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

In 2020, Datuk Nora was appointed as an Adjunct Professor by Pusat Citra Universiti of the National University of Malaysia. She is also an Adjunct Professor appointed by the College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) since 2015. In July 2019, Datuk Nora was also appointed into the Board of Advisors for UUM’s undergraduate programme for Bachelor of Applied Linguistics and Business Administration with Honours.

Datuk Nora is active in her quest to make a difference to empower women. She is the Executive Sponsor for Maybank’s Women Mentor Women Council established in 2013, as well as a Mentor for the ICAEW-TalentCorp Women in Leadership Programme. In 2016, Datuk Nora was awarded the “Beacon of Light” award at the National Women in Leadership Summit organised by the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) in partnership with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Datuk Nora also spoke at the Women in Leadership seminar at Oxford University in 2016. The Singapore Management University (SMU) published a Case Study, titled “Maybank: Organisational Transformation through Human Resources” in collaboration with Datuk Nora in 2019. On 31 March 2021, Datuk Nora was conferred the Top 50 Impact Lifetime Achievement Awards for Women Excellence by KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific.

Datuk Nora is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Datuk Nora also holds a post-grad certification in Human Resource Development from Cornell University and is a certified Gallup Strengths finder Coach Level II. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. In February 2020, Datuk Nora was conferred the Chartered Banker (CB) by the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Deanna Ong is Chief People Officer and Managing Director at GIC, responsible for Human Resource & Organization, and Corporate Governance for the GIC group. GIC is a global investment management company established to manage the foreign reserves of the Government of Singapore, investing in public equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity and infrastructure assets.

As Chief People Officer, Deanna oversees people strategy to attract, develop and retain talent for enterprise performance, seeded with the right values and culture for GIC. As part of the Group Executive Committee, her areas of focus include talent strategy, leadership development, reward and engagement for organization effectiveness. As Company Secretary, she oversees corporate governance and client relations.

Deanna was previously Director Finance from 2009 to 2014, where she headed the Finance Group responsible for financial management across GIC’s portfolio, covering financing arrangements for assets, tax planning, investment holding structures, accounting and management of revenue and expenditure.

Deanna is a board member of Swiss Re Ltd, and an advisory board member of Nanyang Business School. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and completed the Stanford Executive Programme.

Derek Tan is a problem solver and system builder. An engineer by training, he has accumulated diverse HR experiences in troubleshooting business and organisational issues in both the private and public sectors.

He is blessed with many learning opportunities and have helped enable people, digitalise and humanise the workplace during his work stints in Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore Tourism Board, Central Provident Fund Board, Civil Service College, the former Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources , Ministry of Education and the Public Service Division. He has led in the design, development and deployment of total rewards, performance management, career development, competency and capability development systems in these organisations. He had the benefit to have also supported the development of HR systems in the public sector reforms of a few foreign countries.

He serves as a Council Member at the Singapore Human Resource Institute. He is a Chartered Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, UK and a Senior Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resource Management, USA.

D N Prasad (DNP as he is known as in professional circles) is an Executive Coach (PCC, International Coach Federation), transformational HR Leader, and a Talent & Culture Strategist, with expertise in leading scaled transformation, building and scaling Organizations & functions (in-country, region and global) and shaping & nurturing cultures and careers.

Prasad is currently Senior Director for Strategy, People and Organization with Government Technology Agency(GovTech), Singapore and is responsible for Corporate Strategy, Human Resources, Culture and Organization Development. He also serves on the HR Talent Development Committee and as a Public Service Coach, both with Singapore’s Public Service Division. Prior, he founded Noetic step, an Executive Coaching and Talent Advisory practice, working with leaders and organizations, globally. In his last corporate stint, he served as Director and Head of Google People Services for APAC and as a Leadership Coach, at Google Inc.

His progressive career leadership experiences spans seven and a half years with Infosys (where he was the global head of early career hiring, campus relations and HR Operations) and more than a decade with Google. He also brings extensive experience with coaching C-Suite and Senior leaders across APAC, Middle-East, India and US, across a range of industries – Technology/Digital, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Transport, Consulting, Media, Insurance, Healthcare and start-ups.

He serves on the Board of Management Studies of T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal – India and as a member of The Professional Practices Committee for IHRP, Singapore. He is also an invited member of the Forbes Coaches Council.

Evelyn’s role as CEO and CHRO at EtonHouse International Education Group is crucial in driving both the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the organisation, particularly within the context of its Singapore schools. Dr. Fermin Diez has ample experience in human resources, which includes consulting, corporate, academic, and board roles in 40 countries in all continents.

As a consultant he has advised major multinationals, large local companies and public sector organisations at the Board and C-Suite levels in topics related to Total Rewards, Executive Compensation, Sales Compensation, Human Capital Strategy and .HR Analytics.

As an HR leader, he has been Regional Head of HR for two large MNCs in AsiaPac and in Latin America. He is the former Deputy CEO and Group Head of Human Resources for Singapore’s National Council for Social Service, where he is still active as a Senior Advisor.

As an academic, he has won awards as an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore, at Singapore Management University and at Nanyang Technological University. He has written three books: ‘Human Capital and Global Business Strategy’, ‘The Remuneration Handbook: International Edition’ and ‘Fundamentals of HR Analytics’. He currently blogs about ChatGPT for HR and on the Future of Pay.

Fermin is also a recognized HR thought leader and was named as a Top HR Influencer in Asia. He is a frequent speaker at regional and global fora on topics related to compensation, strategic HR, talent management and development, career planning, HRTech, public sector HR practices and HR Analytics. He is chief content facilitator for TR2050, a global think tank devoted to finding better ways to pay employees to support the future of work. Most recently, he shared the stage with Prof Dave Ulrich and Dr Max Blumberg on a three-day workshop on HR Transformation.

He also serves, or has served, on Boards and HR Committees for Organizations in Singapore and abroad. Fermin is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of HR Professionals, where he Chaired the Assessments and Insights Committee and as the Dean of HR Education. He currently sits on the Singapore HR Institute Council and Exco and is a Governing Council member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Fermin obtained his PhD from Singapore Management University, his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Jaclyn Lee is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where she is responsible for managing the Human Capital and Talent Strategy for the university. She also heads the HR Technology and Analytics Function and for the past 10 years has also worked closely with the President and senior leaders in managing the culture and organization development of the university. Jaclyn also holds an appointment as Senior Fellow with the SUTD Academy where she has trained hundreds of HR professionals in the area of data analytics and HR Digital transformation. For her contributions to public service, she was accorded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2019 by the President of Singapore.

Prior to SUTD, she was the Senior Vice President, Group Human Resources, responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources for CERTIS, a security services company. One of her key achievements there was successfully managing a very difficult wage re-structuring project that involved thousands of workers. Prior to this, she was the Regional HR Director and HR business expert for NEC Solutions Asia Pacific.

Jaclyn is currently sitting on the Professional Practices Committee of IHRP, and she is also the Co-COP leader for HR Analytics. She has spoken in more than 150 conferences locally and globally, and is an author of a book entitled, “Accelerating organization culture change”. She is the recipient of several awards including Outstanding Contribution to HR in 2017 and Best HR Leader, SHRI in 2008. She has Masters Degrees from both Rutgers and SMU and a PhD in Information Systems from Twente University in the Netherlands.

Joydeep Bose has been the Managing Director and CHRO of Olam International Limited since 2003, helping to grow it from a small startup to a Fortune 500 global food and agriculture supplier with over 44,000 employees. He has extensive HR experience across various industries and expertise in areas like organizational performance, transformational change, and mergers & acquisitions. Joydeep plays a leadership role in the international HR community as a board member of the ICF Coaching in Organizations Global Board and through previous roles advising Singapore government agencies on HR development. He helped guide Olam’s HR function as the company expanded dramatically from 2,500 employees when he joined to a publicly traded global player with over 25,000 customers today. Joydeep brings strategic insights on issues like education technology and economic recovery through appointments to Singapore government task forces. He also holds an engineering degree and an MBA.

Gerard Koh is a thought leader, non-conformist and keen designer of people experiences. He is strategist and architect of change, and a builder of high-performing teams. Now at Singtel, Gerard’s expertise thrives in leading special projects at the Group level to propel their B.I.G (Belonging, Impact and Growth) People agenda.
Gerard led the global People & Culture team at NCS, and delivered the transformative people strategy to support NCS’ growth to a global digital solutions partner.
Before Singtel, Gerard served as CHRO and Chief Corporate Officer at SMRT. There, he transformed HR practices into a progressive, force of change to support the new MRT lines, and deliver a world class transport service.
Gerard had fulfilling and adventurous career in the Singapore Armed Forces, where he commanded an Armoured Brigade, was the Defence Attache to Laos, and was the Head National Service. He retired from service as the Division Chief of Staff, HQ Armour.
He volunteers at the Catholic Welfare Services on the HR Committee, and the Catholic Archdiocese HR Council. Laos beckoned and he answered the call to be the leader for the medical and education humanitarian mission to Laos under ACTS Singapore.
Gerard is certified as a HR Master Practitioner by Singapore’s Institute of HR Professionals (IHRP), and is an award winning HR leader. And, oh yes, he makes the best scrambled eggs ever too.

Gloria is a seasoned HR practitioner with experience across a spectrum of sectors in the Singapore Public Service including public housing, tax administration, healthcare services, public health and environmental protection.
Prior to her current role at MOH, Gloria was HR Director of the National Environment Agency from 2011 to 2019 where she led workforce and HR transformation. Gloria was five weeks into her current role when the first COVID-19 case landed on Singapore’s shores in January 2020. She steered the corporate functions under her to support MOH which led in the country’s successful COVID-19 pandemic response and management. This included the rapid ramp up and sustenance of workforce capacity and capabilities as well as workforce and workplace business continuity planning and management.
Outside of work, Gloria has been mentoring NUS undergraduates who are keen in HR as a career since 2015 and is a member of the Public Service Division’s HR Talent Development Committee since 2018.

Gonzalo Ruiz Calavera is a seasoned professional with a profound passion for harnessing technology’s potential to empower individuals and societies. Currently, he leads all Google’s recruiting efforts in the APAC region, connecting the world’s most innovative people with opportunities that shape the future of Google’s products and services in Asia-Pacific.

Prior to Google, Gonzalo dedicated an impressive 34 years to Siemens, a global technology powerhouse active in the fields of Energy, Healthcare, Industry Automation and Transportation, where he ascended to the position of Global Head of Talent Acquisition. His extensive career, spanning 38 years, has seen him thrive in diverse HR leadership roles across multiple continents, including the US, Spain, Greece, Germany, and Singapore, where he is currently located since 2010.

Gonzalo’s unwavering commitment to advancing the HR field is evident in his active involvement in various organizations and initiatives.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and International Economic Structure from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) and is a proud Spaniard, husband, and father of three.

As Head of Group Human Resources in OCBC Bank, Jason Ho had led the people and organisational strategy of the bank between 2015 and 2022. Prior to assuming that role, he had garnered over 30 years of corporate and regional treasury experiences in the financial industry at Asia Pacific level. The crossover from business operations to human resource management had placed him in a strong position to bridge the gap between business and people agenda and prepare for a future that is ready to embrace change brought by technological reforms and the digital revolution.

Jason is a strong believer in human resource transformation with the singular purpose of driving an employee’s experience that will bring out the best in the person in order to achieve positive business outcome for an organisation.

Jason was also extensively involved in contributing towards community initiatives relating to the development of human resources in Singapore. Towards this end, he had served as Director of The Institute of HR Professionals (IHRP) and a member of the HR Industry Transformation Advisory Panel (HRTAP).

Jolene Chen has been the Group Human Resources Director for Prudential plc since June 2019 and prior to that the Chief Human Resources Officer for Prudential Corporation Asia since 2011.

Currently based in Hong Kong and Singapore, Jolene sits on the Group Executive Committee. She is Co-Chair of Prudential’s Global D&I Council and Chair of Prudence Foundation, the philanthropic community investment arm of Prudential.

Jolene leads an HR team that is spearheading Prudential’s transformation to become a more inclusive, customer-centric, and purpose-led organisation.

Under Jolene’s leadership, the HR function, which supports close to 15,000 employees in 23 markets across Asia and Africa, has partnered with the business to build a more engaged and agile workforce. The team has also enhanced the people experience by introducing new ways of working that helps facilitate better work-life harmony.

Jolene is also focused on ensuring the HR function has the right capabilities to support the growing ambitions of the business. She led the launch of an online HR academy, and introduced a global baseline of capabilities, to future-proof the HR team.

Prior to joining Prudential, Jolene spent over 20 years with multinational companies, including Standard Chartered and Inchcape, in a variety of resourcing, organisational design, talent management, learning and development and human resources roles.

Josephine Chua is the Director of Human Resources & Quality for the Ramada and Days Hotels by Wyndham Singapore at Zhongshan Park.

Josephine has developed and implemented initiatives to attract, engage and retain talents in the Hotels.
