Uplifting the benchmarks of HR excellence and unlocking the full potential of human capital.

About IHRP

Vision

To build a world-class community effecting purposeful change for people and organisations

Mission

Unlocking the full potential of human capital

The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) is set up by the tripartite partners: the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) to professionalise and strengthen the HR practice in Singapore.

IHRP implements a number of national human capital programmes, such as IHRP Certification, IHRP Skills Badges and Human Capital Diagnostic Tool (HCDT), and is also the national Job Redesign Centre of Excellence (JRCoE). Under the Skills Framework for HR, IHRP also works with SkillsFuture Singapore to identify and develop skills to support HR community in their upskilling and reskilling journey.

IHRP has the goal of setting the HR standards of excellence, developing HR as a strategic enabler of business and workforce transformation and fostering a vibrant HR services eco-system to drive innovation and change. Through the IHRP Certification and other national programmes, IHRP aims to enhance the competencies of HR professionals, as well as create developmental and professional pathways for them. This will professionalise and strengthen the HR practice in Singapore, allowing HR professionals to be key enablers in their organisations.

IHRP partners with government agencies, tripartite organisations and the human capital development eco-system, including IHLs and private providers, to drive the adoption of progressive human capital practices in Singapore.

Our 12-member board of directors is chaired by Mrs. Deborah Ong, Retired Partner, PwC Singapore.

Why IHRP

Against the backdrop of rapid business disruption, it is essential that organisations develop their human capital, so they can be future-ready and thrive amid economic shifts.

HR is the enabler that will help organisations rise to meet this challenge. But for it to be successful, HR must itself be future-ready. It must focus on maximising human capital and contribute to business growth.

IHRP aims to equip HR professionals and their organisations with progressive and forward-looking people practices to meet this challenge.
