Empowering Change,
Championing Progress
10 Years of Raising the Bar in Human Resource
Marking IHRP’s 10th anniversary, this e-book celebrates a decade of elevating the HR profession and advancing Singapore’s human capital agenda. Guided by the theme “Empowering Change, Championing Progress”, the e-publication reflects the collective ambition, leadership and partnerships that have shaped IHRP’s journey and impact.

Yet we recognised that HR was central to every industry transformation plan and critical to advancing our national goals.

Businesses have to place talent at the centre of corporate strategy and give HR leaders a seat at the table to influence topics of strategic importance.

We wanted anyone who was serious about a HR career to get certified and then contribute to the wider community.

For HR professionals, mastering the ability to navigate ongoing ambiguity is a core competency.

Strong HR capabilities help organisations build motivated, adaptable and future-ready teams that can grow together with the business.

IHRP gave us access to a wider network of peers whom we could learn from, allowing us to support each other as one HR community.

To drive business outcomes, we must have a clear people strategy with a long-term mindset.

Leadership value does not lie in having the right answers upfront but in embracing reflection, curiosity and collective decision-making.

In healthcare, our competitive advantage may begin with strategy, but it is delivered through people.

IHRP has helped shift HR from being seen as operational to being recognised as a strategic profession with defined standards and competencies.

No matter how strong your strategy, success is impossible if you don’t get human capital right.

There is an urgent need to upskill our workforce and transform our mindsets to remain future-ready.

Essentially, a CHRO and a CEO who learn from and understand each other’s perspectives create a strategic partnership that serves the organisation’s best interests.

Technology will continue to reshape work, but HR’s purpose remains constant – to help people realise their potential while enabling organisations to succeed.
