SHRM Partnership
On 7 August 2019, the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) signed a mutual recognition agreement. The IHRP-SHRM agreement will enable certified professionals to achieve reciprocal recognition from both organisations through mutual recognition.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) to IHRP Certified Professional (IHRP-CP)
Eligibility Criteria

3 years of HR-related work experience at CP level
Experienced HR professionals
Minimum 150-hours of HR-related training or education

SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) to IHRP Senior Professional (IHRP-SCP)

This subsidy is available only to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.The subsidy applies to IHRP Certified Associate (CA – Working Professionals only), Certified Professional (CP), and Senior Professional (SP) applications, and is valid for new, first-time  upgrade, and bridging applications. Available from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. Subsidy does not apply to Recertification, Reassessment, Rescheduling, or Onsite fees.



*All fees are inclusive of and subjected to prevailing GST rate. The above fees are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of the outcome of the application.     On-Site Fee is applicable to candidates selecting the On-Site Assessment option and includes test centre fees, invigilation fees and other administrative charges. SHRM candidates applying for IHRP Certification through this Agreement must have a current and valid SHRM Certification and Professional Membership.   Upon notification of successful advancement to On-Site Assessment, the candidate is allowed thirty (30) calendar days before the date of competency assessment to change competency assessment date without incurring a fee. IHRP Certified Professional (IHRP-CP) to SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
Eligibility Criteria

Must be an IHRP Certified Professional
Must have at least 3+ years of HR experience

Application Requirements

Complete the SHRM bridging tutorial: The tutorial is focused on the behavioral and leadership competencies highlighted in the SHRM Competency Model which is the foundation for the SHRM Certification Body of Competency and Knowledge. The SHRM BoCk is the basis for all SHRM Certification products including the certification exams. The tutorial also includes a competency self-assessment and a sampling of situational judgement test items and takes approximately 1-hour to complete.
Review and agree to SHRM terms and conditions: This includes the Candidate Agreement, the SHRM Bylaws and Code of Ethics, and the SHRM Privacy Policy.

IHRP Senior Professional (IHRP-SP) to SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
Eligibility Criteria

Must be an IHRP Senior Professional
Must have least 6+ years of HR experience

Certification + Membership Bundled Offer
Special Bridging Fee + 1 Year Global Internet Membership: USD 420*
These fees include prevailing fees which SHRM may charge, such as application fees and membership fees, but excludes recertification fees where applicable. A person must obtain a SHRM Global Internet Membership at the time of applying for the SHRM certification under this Agreement to become a certified professional of SHRM.   A bridging candidate who ceases to be an IHRP certified professional will be required to re-apply for SHRM Professional Membership under the terms and conditions specified by SHRM.
